Das Projekt handelt vom Antrittstag von Prof. Dr. Serdar Kurnaz, der momentan Islamische Theologie an der Universität Hamburg lehrt. Er ist in Remscheid geboren und hat Islamische Theologie mit Schwerpunkt islamische Rechtswissenschaften in Frankfurt studiert, wo er mit nur 28 Jahren seinen Doktortitel erlangte.

Wir haben ihn am frühen Morgen zum Frühstück getroffen und sind anschließend mit dem Zug gemeinsam nach Hamburg gefahren, wo er am Abend seine Antrittsvorlesung als Professor für Islamische Theologie gehalten hat. Diese Serie enthält Bilder, die während unserer Zugfahrt entstanden sind. Alle Fotos wurden mit einer Fujifilm X Pro 2 Body und einem 35‑mm-Objektiv aufgenommen.
