Khaleds Ramadan

Ramadan ist im islamischen Kalender ein wichtiges Datum, aber in diesem Jahr hat das Fest für Khaled eine noch größere Bedeutung. Es wird nämlich das erste Mal sein, dass er es in Granada (Spanien) feiert, wo er nach seiner Flucht im Jahr 2015 aus Homs (Syrien) aufgenommen wurde.

Diese Geschichte handelt davon, wie die muslimische Gemeinschaft in Granada ihre Brüder und Schwestern aufnimmt, die nach Europa geflüchtet sind. Sie handelt davon, wie sie versuchen, den Menschen in Westeuropa ihre Kultur näherzubringen, um Respekt und Akzeptanz zu finden.

Khaled leaves his home to go to the mosque in the Dhuhr hour, the midday prayer. Khaled explains that during the Dhuhr, the sun is at its highest peak and therefore “the shadow measures the same as the person”. Von Carlos Gil

Cartuja’s Mosque attracts a large number of followers. The neighborhood, where it is located, has a big Muslim community. Von Carlos Gil
